Ar. Suresh Sharma

Ar. Suresh Sharma is the founder and Principal Architect of Aayaadi Associates, based in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Over twenty-two years he has led work ranging from single-family residences to large hospitality and township developments, taking each project from concept through construction supervision. He holds a Master of Architecture and is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Architects, registered with the Council of Architecture and as a Valuer of Immovable Property under the Wealth Tax Act.

Specialization

For eighteen years, alongside his practice, Suresh has travelled Himachal Pradesh's interior valleys documenting a vernacular architecture that is largely unrecorded — building methods, materials and forms shaped by the hills long before any code was written for them. That research now feeds directly into the firm's own hospitality and residential work, and continues as doctoral study at NIT Hamirpur, where he is pursuing a PhD in Architecture.

The Practice

Aayaadi Associates works across hospitality, real estate, commercial and residential projects, with a particular interest in custom homes and large-scale residential developments — work that lets the firm carry one design through site, landscape and building together rather than handing pieces to separate consultants. The practice runs through every phase from planning and schematic design to construction administration, in close collaboration with consultants, contractors and local craftsmen.
